LUSH in Dubai

I must admit I did get a little excited...okay VERY excited when I discovered a new LUSH shop in Mirdif City Centre today!! I knew that one had been opened in Dubai Mall but it's always so noisy and stressful shopping there so I was hoping to find a LUSH somewhere else. Today, I did!! Sadly I could only rush in and rush out, but I did have enough time to have a sneaky try of a few products which are officially on my wish list:

• Honey I washed the Kids- soap
• Soft Coeur- massage bar
• Bubblegum- lib scrub

The shop smelt amazing and of course I picked up a copy of the So Very Pretty LUSH Times on the way out! xx

The So Very Prettiest Blogger of the Month

Every Month I'm going to choose The So Very Prettiest Blogger of the month and write a little post about them! This month post features....drum roll pleeeaasseeeee....

YYAAYY! Sprinkle of Glitter ♥ Just thinking about Louise makes my day! The words "Aloha Sprinklerinos" appearing on my screen turns any bad day completely upside down. Not only does she have the most beautiful blog but also a very addictive youtube channel as well! WARNING: if you do subscribe to Sprinkle of Glitter (I would if I were you) don't be surprised when you find yourself endlessly watching her videos and laughing yourself silly before realising it has suddenly turned one o'clock in the morning :O

Lunch at the Atlantis

As an Easter treat my Mum very kindly surprised me with lunch on the beach at the Atlantis hotel. VERY POSH! The food was delicous and the weather was lovely! The perfect amount of wind and the sound of the sea crashing against the shore. I had some chicken quesadillas served with the best guacamole I've ever tasted! Yummy yummy in my tummy ♥

We wandered around the hotel after our meal and I took a few sneaky photos. It's a pretty hotel and I found it strange seeing tourists finding everyhting in Dubai so amazing! Maybe it's because I've lived here a long time...but I held back a little giggle when a tourist took a picture of the sign for the toilets?! hehehhehe...

Shakespeare and Co.

Yummmmyyyy ♥ Shakespeares ♥

A cafe called Shakespeare And Co. recently opened within walking distance of my house and it is absolutely gorgeous!! I walked inside and instantly felt like a little girl stepping into Cinderella's castle. The walls were painted in beautiful pastel colours and covered in vintage wallpaper. When I thought it couldn't get any better I looked up and there was a SECOND FLOOR! The simple things in life please me ♥ Wound around the staircase were roses and then looking over the inside of the cafe were balconies fit for a perfect Romeo and Juliet scenario. Not like I imagined myself being Juliet or anything...that would just be awkward. hehehehe.....

The cake displays quite literally made my mouth water and I wasted no time tucking into a perfectly cooked crepe coated in oozing chocolate sauce...mmmmm. I don't think the waitresses were very happy with me as I dragged out my time eating the yummy crepe for as long as possible to take in every detail of the room, oh and snap a photo or two. They even had little cherubs holding up the lightbulbs!

If I ever need inspiration or just feel like relaxing I'm definately returning! I can't put it into words how So Very Pretty it was! xx

Let's get started ♥

I cannot tell you how nervous I feel about writing my first ever blog post! Which is ridiculous considering no one is probabaly ever going to read it, but I'm one of those people who opens up a new notebook or sketch pad and feels like the first page MUST be perfect. As if the appearance of the whole book depends upon that one page! In reality you could always tear it out if you do make a mistake, but that would ruin the fun of it! :)

I'll start by writing a little bit about myself, but where to start? I've grown up in Dubai my whole life and am still living here today.

For anyone who imagines life here being constant sun bathing, eating out in seven star hotels and casually bumping into celebrities, the reality is slightly different. Granted the weather is beautiful and it's nearly always sunny, but occassionally we get those REALLYY cold days of about 17 degress, shocking I know! There are shopping malls almost everywhere you turn...however *sniffs* there is NO PRIMARK *sniffs*. You can imagine the hours I spend in there when we visit relatives in England and I "quickly pop" into Primark. My purse is never a happy bunny after a Primarni splurge!

From time to time it is nice to just pop down to the beach to catch up on some tanning, but I always seem to end up looking more like a tomatoe than a sun kissed babe! Not only do I love a bit of sun but makeup, fashion and photography are on the top of my list of favourites. Oh and of course watching some sneeky youtube now and again instead of doing homework...WOOPSY.
